Here at the Jalali Indian Restaurant, our aim is to offer the most authentic dining experience to our customers.Based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, our experienced chefs pull inspiration from a host of cultures, with a range of modernised Indian and Bangladeshi dishes and spices to ensure there is something for everyone.
For our dishes, we take inspiration from across India especially the Sylhet Region of Northeastern Bangladesh, with our chefs taking these influences and adapting them to a modern style of Indian cooking.
We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients, with our menu including traditional Balti style favourites along with a fine selection of grilled foods from the flaming clay oven, the Tandoor.
We combine popular dishes influenced from the British Raj with a more sophisticated style of cooking. One of our specialities is called 'Zameen Aur Samunder', which translates 'where land meets see' our very own take on a classic surf n turf. We source the finest ingredients from local suppliers and everything is cooked fresh as its made to order.
Our chefs have been successful in tantalising the taste buds with our use of king prawns and regional fish including the filleted Pangasius fish.
Our speciality, the Sarishar Batar, utilises poppy mustard seeds, garlic, ginger, and green chillies. This combined with oriental fish sauce and cooked in our home-made mustard gravy, enhances the culinary experience.
Jalali offers a fully-licensed bar consisting of a wide range of quality champagne, beer, wine, and spirits. We stock a range of Indian lagers on draught and bottles, as well as an extensive list of Indian wines.
Our bespoke Soul Tree range offers wine including Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rose. If you’re looking for a treat try our Aikya Indian Sparkling Wine, made of four grapes it will soothe and charm any occasion.
